Those that know me, have worked with me, for me, or I have worked for, know, that it's really (some might say really really) hard to piss me off.
I used to have anger management issues, now around 17 years ago.
I overcame that, and I can say, I am proud of that. (Says my ego)
But, sometimes, just sometimes, I am reminded...triggered... It flares up again.
What triggers that?
Stress you might think.
Arguments and confrontations you might expect.
Nah. It seems silly, but none of that.
It's the small things.
Literally.
Namely flies.
Yes, FLIES. Those little punks that zzumzum around your ear while you work, eat, sleep, or in the middle of a meeting...Then land on the tip of your nose or on your finger, in contempt, again and again...
Their existence is questionable, but not in vain, they serve a distinct purpose (aside from the natural ecosystem which maybe someone can explain to me).
Their distinct purpose is to piss you off, or me rather (in my egotistical mind at least)
They are the definition of "pesados" in Spanish, or chato in Portuguese.
I am reminded always, of a rather crude and vulgar small cartoon called "Supafly"

It was not until recently, that I finally understood what moved the creator of those small cartoons to put the time and effort into making them.
He was coping, it was his therapy after being bugged for who knows how long, by who knows how many of those little devil's.
One of my favorite triggers that I continue to learn from and the fact that these things can produce a surge in creativity is curious, to say the least.
Personal growth is a journey. Every minor challenge is a chance to practice patience and build resilience.

What small things test your patience? How do you handle those seemingly trivial but frustrating moments!
Next time, I might share another one, one we all love here in Europe... #Bureaucracy
